RPG?

For the uninitiated, "RPG" stands for "Role Playing Game." Each player in an RPG makes up a character, complete with a set of statistics that describe that character's attributes and skills. A Game Master (GM) then takes the player characters through a game scenario. Dice are rolled to determine if characters succeed at their chosen actions. I have enjoyed gaming since I first tried it during my freshman year at 'Tech. In addition to all the statistics that describe what a character can do, I like to draw pictures-- to show what the character looks like.

I've grouped the characters and character montages shown here by game. Most of the characters on this page are not characters of mine. (Meaning somebody else played the person, or creature, in question.)

Birthright

My good friend Jim Butcher recently ran a game in the D&D Birthright universe. Needless to say, it was way cool. Here are some characters from that campaign.

Tazair Donalles --Thane of Talinie.

Vellerey Donalles--twin sister to the Thane. (My Character)

Thrall teMujin -- a dwarven govener of a northern province of Talinie. (Lieutenant to Thane Donalles.)

Dreya -- a mage, and Lady of the Rose Court.

Fazir Mustafa El-Arrassi-- a paladin from a far off land.

Etienne --A blooded nobleman with a mysterious past.

Tales of the Realm

A game run by Jim in his own universe.

Emily -- a hedge witch. (my character)

Alexandra -- an assassin, acting as bodyguard. (my husband's character)

Jack Gingerbread -- King of the Street Urchins.

Warhammer

The first games I played with Jim et al. were in the Warhammer fantasy universe. Here's a few characters from those games.

Johnny Peachpit--halfling assassin/witchhunter. (also, one mean cook)

Elven archer

Bright Mage

Champions

This was the first system I ever played, in two campaigns run by Graham Cummins. I don't have individual character portraits for these campaigns, but the montage here is my *origianal* effort at "constructive flicking"-- i.e. its the first time I ever called drawing by that name. (I stayed up most of one night to draw, ink and color the picture all in one sitting.)

The characters shown in the montage are: Standing, L to R-- Mariko Aoke, Zee (purple power armor), Lynne- Michelle (white hair), and John Carmichael (tie-dye); Kneeling--Elana (yes, I got to play her in this campaign!).

Champions montage #2--Elana, Lucca, and the Black Owl.

Tolkein

Graham also ran a game in the "Lord of the Rings" universe, using the D&D rules. Here are some incarnations of my character for that game.
